STATE BUDGET
An analysis of the Governor’s proposed State Budget indicates an across the board reduction in funding to all state agencies of approximately 10 to 15 percent. That would translate to approximately 6000 to 9000 layoffs (near 7/1/2010). The State Budget is being discussed by the Legislature and a Legislative version of the State Budget will be acted upon within the next couple of months. Our salary increase and Contract will be part of this mix.
We will continue to monitor progress toward the FY11 State Budget.
